The most important fact about Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan is that,with the divine blessing of Shree Sansthan  was established in 1908  in the presence of Shri Gajanan Maharaj. The day & place of his Samadhi was declared by Shree well in advance with his celestial vision.  “YA JAGI RAHIL ” (I will stay Here), these words were very evocative. As per his directions, a joint meeting of devotees, businessmen, and villagers of Shegaon was organized on Sawant 1885 Ashwin Shukla.1 (12/09/1908) at the shop of late Narayan Kartaji.  Sansthan’s foundation was laid in the divine presence of Shri Gajanan Maharaj. Further different meetings were conducted and some important rules were framed in the presence of Shri Gajanan Maharaj.

Under his own guidance some rules and regulations were formed and the Trust was registered on 12-9-1908.

The Darshan of Shri Swami should be taken from distance, should not touch the feet of Shri Swami, the money or any other thing given by Bhaktas should not be touched by anybody, it should be straightway pat in the safe. Etc. was the regulations made in his presence.

That tiny plant has grown into a huge tree, the branches of which are spreading from Pandharpur in South to Omkareshwar in North.

Service to the poor, helpless and such who have nobody to look after, is the goal chosen as per the wishes of Shri Swami.
