The construction work of Gajanan Temple was started in Pandharpur in 1985 which was completed on Wednesday 28-4-99. That day the "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony was Organized. The temple is 117" x 75" teet in size & the Kalash is 84' teet high. Three trucks had been continuously used to bring marble from Makrana (Rajasthan). There were 34000 craftsmen & labours from Rajasthan working hand in hand to give major shape to Stones & brought to Pandharpur. The Kalash & Main gate of temple alongwith 'Ohwaj Stambh' are Gold Plated & decently conceived. Other gates are Silver Plated and are made by expert craftsmen from Banaras.
